Cultural tourism allows for the creation of community benefits by utilising historical, proclaimed and contemporary cultural resources. As these are often found in both urban and rural areas and include areas deprived of obvious natural appeal, ComMark sees good opportunities for M4P growth across the SADC region.

Creating an appropriate enabling environment for the inclusion of sustainable cultural tourism ventures provides opportunities for public and private organisations to develop, conserve and manage cultural heritage resources – and so create sustainable income-generating opportunities across the region.
